Print Labels from Excel
Upload your Excel spreadsheet, design a label with {{column}} placeholders, and export a PDF where every row becomes a unique label. No Word mail merge. No software to install.
Step-by-Step Guide
Prepare your Excel file
Your spreadsheet should have column headers in the first row (e.g., Name, Address, City, Barcode). Each subsequent row is one label.
| Name | Address | City | SKU |
| Jane Smith | 123 Main St | London | BK-001 |
| John Doe | 456 Oak Ave | Manchester | BK-002 |
Choose your label size and design
Pick a DYMO, Brother, Zebra, or Avery label size. Add text fields using double-brace syntax: {{Name}}, {{Address}}. Add a barcode with value {{SKU}} for unique barcodes per label.
Upload your Excel file
Click Import Data in the toolbar, then upload your .xlsx file. The editor automatically matches column headers to your {{field}} placeholders. Supports .xlsx, .xls, .csv, .tsv, and .ods.
Preview and export
Click Export to see every label with real data. For sheet labels (Avery, HERMA), labels fill the correct grid positions across pages. Download as PDF or print directly.
Why This Is Better Than Word Mail Merge
Works entirely in your browser. No Microsoft Office subscription required.
Word can't generate barcodes. OpenLabelMaker creates unique barcodes and QR codes from your spreadsheet data.
Drag and drop elements on a visual canvas instead of fighting with Word templates and fields.
Supports 250+ printer labels and 97+ sheet layouts. Word mail merge only works with a few Avery templates.
