Design Tips

Use sticker paper — buy self-adhesive label sheets (matte or glossy) for your inkjet or laser printer. Avery makes full-sheet sticker paper too.
Upload high-res images — logos and artwork look best at 300 DPI or higher. PNG with transparent background is ideal.
Use custom sizes — OpenLabelMaker lets you set any dimensions in mm. Measure your sticker area and set it exactly.
Print a test sheet first — print on regular paper to check alignment before using expensive sticker stock.
For die-cut shapes — design your sticker with a white border, print on sticker paper, and cut with scissors or a craft knife. No cutting machine needed.

FAQ

Do I need a Cricut or Silhouette?

No. OpenLabelMaker outputs PDF files you print on any regular printer. Use self-adhesive sticker paper (available from Avery, Amazon, and office supply stores) and cut with scissors if needed. A cutting machine is optional for complex shapes.

What printer for stickers?

Any inkjet or laser printer works with sticker paper sheets. For thermal sticker printing (no ink), use a DYMO LabelWriter, Brother QL, Niimbot, or Phomemo with their sticker rolls.

Can I make waterproof stickers?

Yes — print on waterproof/vinyl sticker paper (available for both inkjet and laser printers). For extra durability, cover with a clear laminate or use a clear coat spray.
